Mark Jenkins Nickname: World CupBorn: 1983 Website: He ain't got one. The story behind the story. Born and raised in La Grange, Texas, Mark brings a unique perspective on Texas Select, being
the only individual with south Texas-related sports experience. Mark went to Texas A&M, got a degree in Computer
Science, and married Lacey, Rhylan's cousin. He started working at IBM with Rhylan in 2003, where they perfected their
hallway basketball skills and threw nerf balls at each other. In 2006, they were acquired by Coremetrics, where they
currently focus on ping pong and "cubicle battleship" with nerf balls.
Mark is on a quest to become a "world-class" harmonica player. He says, "I can make it rain in here." Mark is a huge college sports fan in addition to following pro sports closely. He has built storied history of Fantasy Football success in recent years. He has a mediocre turnaround jump shot, and if you're about to beat him in a game of 21, he'll foul you. He claimed he could beat the original Super Mario Bros. in under ten minutes, and proved it on 1/14/2006, winning in 8 minutes 45 seconds. John timed it, it's legit. Recently, when he had Lasik surgery on his eyes, he woke up and proclaimed, "It's a miracle! I can see! I can see a fly on my neighbor's bull's ass." His favorite word is "ciabatta." Mark is also our associate technical engineer. He specializes in collecting drops we'll never use, because he doesn't come over when invited. He says, "I guess I've blown my chance." He does deserve credit for helping make our podcast technology happen. Mark describes the look on his face in this picture as, "What the hell's going on?" |
