Ok just a little bit of info from a server/bartender about tipping. I don't know about anywhere else, but we report our tips based on our sales so our tips get reported out of more that what we actually make. Therefore I am taxed on money that I don't actually see as tips, but it works out in the end for all of us. I don't really understand the whole thing, but I do know that at least in Buffalo Wild Wings that are part of our franchise group we do pay tax on our tips and so we aren't cheating anyone. Also the reason many servers act the way they do at a table is because they are crackheads....trust me I work with them:)
