Show five of our sports-talk/random-bs'ing Internet broadcast brings an official new name to the show: Texas Select.

Yes, we believe this one will stick. You can thank Brian and Fundy for the name. It's a bit of an inside joke, but it's also indicative of the top shelf sports talk that you get on this lovely little show.

We also started a couple of new traditions.

Sponsorships. Unbeknownst to our sponsors, each show, as well as the Open Mic, Headlines, and brand new Pick of the Week segments, will be brought to you by a notable business. Unbeknownst to them.

The Storm's Special Pick of the Week. A new, short segment. We're a sports show, primarily. So, you're thinking this is our pick for hot game of the week? Or, you're thinking it's who we think will win a particular hot game of the week? Perhaps. Honestly, we don't know. The Pick of the Week is not discussed until the actual time of the segment. At the time of the segment, one of us will determine what the pick of the week is. We might be picking a team, a game, or something completely unrelated to anything. In round-table style, each one of us announces our Pick of the Week. Named for and "sponsored" by the greatest value in all of Texas fast food - the Storm's Special. A triple meat hamburger and fries. When you add a medium drink, it comes in under $5.
